  • Cinnamic Acid is a flavoring agent that is white and in powder form with an odor resembling honey and flowers.
  • It is insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, chloroform, Acetic Acid, acetone, benzene, and most oils, and alkali salts are soluble in water.
  • It is obtained by chemical synthesis and is also termed 3-phenyl prop phenolic Acid.
  • It is a raw material for preparing esters, spices and medicines.
  • Cinnamic Acid is used as a chemical reagent and also used in the synthesis of spices and medicines.
  • Mainly used in the preparation of spices, cherries, apricots, honey, and other flavors.
  • It is used for the preservation of fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Due to its antimicrobial properties, cinnamic Acid is used to extend the shelf life of food products.
