Chemical Description

• Monopotassium is an inorganic compound that is colorless to white and is in the form of crystalline powder.
• It is an odorless and tasteless inorganic compound with a density of 2.338 and is stabilizing in air.
• MKP is widely used in the food industry as a buffering agent, chelating agent, yeast, flavoring agent, nutrient supplement, fermentation agent, swelling agent, and many other purposes.
• It is a stable compound and should be stored at ambient temperature in dry and well-ventilated areas.
• When added to potatoes, it maintains the natural white color of cooked potatoes.
• It plays a major role in binding and texturizing delicatessen meats.

• It has two essential nutrients for plant growth: phosphorus and potassium, which is why it is used in fertilizers. When soil pH needs to be adjusted, fertilizers containing MKP are used.
